Of course getting hands on the gun you want isnt easy either. Anyone run into a savage lightweight hunter in 6.5 creedmore or a ruger m77 compact in 25 06. Shout out. I have some 2506 ammo and can get my hands on another box or 2 I'm fairly certain. He ain't shooting at a deer with a 223 and my full size 2506 might work but it's a tad hard for him to handle.

I've never owned a business, but I have heard the phrase "make hay while the sun is shining". But, for the life of me, I do not understand why Ammo mfgrs. are not hiring and cranking 24/7 to take advantage of the sales of ammo. Same with Lysol spray mfgrs. Guns and Butter, Supply and Demand. Geesh. Have we become that lazy that we turn Customers away? I would imagine that Gun Range owners are hurting right now. Who wants to rip through two boxes of 9mm ammo at a paper target to the tune of $70 alone for the cost of ammo.

I don’t expect to ever shoot 60,000 rounds combined of all calibers/gauges in my lifetime. That’s absurd.

Exactly, it’s absurd

For the last half dozen years or so my son and I would always go to Eagle Gun Range in Lewisville the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was kind of our Black Friday thing we did together. Not happening this year. Can find any ammo for the most part. What I can find is insanely priced and I'm not dipping into my stash. I sure hope this gets better so maybe we can do it around Christmas, but I don't think it will happen that quickly.

You may look at rechambering it to take 3". My dad had Elton Teague in Nocona do one for him several years ago. I don't know if he still works on guns, but I'd think any competent gun smith would be able to.

Biden can't raise any domestic taxes on anything. The house and senate has to pass any federal taxes.

Lightweight Hunter in 6.5 is sold out at distributors. I will keep an eye out for you though. I can get the new 110 Ultralight 6.5 with Carbon Fiber barrel though. Retail is $1250. It has Savage's Accufit stock that may help.
Good luck with the M77 search. I have a used Kimber 84L in .25-06 if you are interested.

Rent one of their guns ($5) and they will sell you the ammo to go with it. Best part is you don't have to clean it!!

I know I've probably gone through close to that in just .22.

It's ridiculous...can't even afford to buy it when I do find stuff in stock. I've considered going back to pellet rifles just for some fun plinking.

I am doing some work at SWFA and it is pure craziness. Talked to a guy the other day who was desperately looking for 9mm. He then mentioned he had a stash of about 60,000 rounds of 9mm already....... Are you serious dude? Calm down.

Was this the guy you talked to?
