I finally caught a bass at Boerne lake. Actually 2 but they were small and it took me most of the day just to catch those two so this is not lights out fishing. This is the smaller one, the other was a little bigger. At least I got a lot of exercise paddling.

Boerne lake is very tough and pressured. The bass have gotten smaller and smaller each year I have fished it. Seems like there isn’t a whole lot of baitfish and they have to compete with the white bass that someone stocked years ago. Even the catfish I catch in there are skinny!

I see the same thing, the lack of bait fish is really bad. I've caught 15 little bass who's head was way bigger than their bodies, basically starving

Nice fish. Looks like it could have beaten the current Flathead record. Either way a super catch.

Dwarfs the one my buddy caught out there last year. He's fishing from the dock and doing really good this year.
