Fished Fayette Nov. 5th with my son on the water late after replacing a couple of tires on my trailer. I fish Fayette several times a year and an pretty confident that I can find fish but we worked hard for about 6 hours and could not find a co distant bite just one here and there and managed to boat less than 10for the day.went back yesterday (nov. 20) and we had 30 in the boat in the first three hours and finished the day with an even 50. Biggest fish was a little over 5 and we had several heavy 4's. The big difference was we caught these fish under huge schools of shad two weeks ago we never found any bait fish. The age old truth is find the bait find the fish probably 75% of the fish we caught came out of an area we refer to as junkyard in10 to15fow. All were caught on watermelon red senior fished on shakeyheads so go fishing but find the bait first

For sure. Launched early one morning and while I was waiting for my partner to park the trailer I saw a baitfish ball just off the courtesy dock. We caught over 20 around the ramp and dock.

They can be found in either ramp. I have caught them at both like that.

I am not sure if I should take offense to that...SJ, to whom is the "small" fish comment directed? Me? Surely not, lol.

Lol, or you have a 50% chance of duplicating his success by picking one and going fishing.

It only happened once. Been checking back for several years and never saw bait fish or the bite again. I would think that with only two specific sites that would be enough for a pot licker to figure out.
