Does that stuff work? I have NEVER had luck with store bought baits for cats outside of Chicken breasts.
And even then breasts have been a distant second for me to gizzard shad, bluegill and threadfin shad (in that order). I fish mostly for blues but have found similar results with channels. They will hit any of those baits first over anything from a bag bought in the fishing section at Wal Mart.... I wish those baits worked though. So much easier, just never have worked for me.

Academy carries CJs punch bait in a couple varieties. I like shad version. If you order it online the shipping cost is as much as the bait. So buy 2 small tubs at the store. I caught some nice channels years ago on Catfish Charlie Blood but it was in swift running water- actually close to rapids.

It got bites, a lot of them. But only from small fish, and once they hit it the bait was stripped. You had to hold the rod and set the hook on the first bump... its a tough way to catch 12 inch channels. I had heard such good reviews I wanted to try it. But still, I am finding that fresh cut baits are king.

Pretty sure my labs are immune to whatever is out there. Scarf down week old dead mullet, that was a week ago, never missed a beat. So, that's been attacked by feral hogs, rattle snake bit, untold duels with botulism still kicking.

everything works if you have a baited chummed out spot. But for me it doesnt work.I had it laying around in a box. somehow the box got knocked over and the dogs found it.
