Headed down next week to Somerville wondering about the whites, hybrids and strippers. Any one have any info on where to look or pattern this time of year. And thanks for the help.

I have only fished Somerville once for whites. There is a huge point on the SE part of the lake and was the only big structure I could find. We fished just off the edge of the point and caught and released 50 or so really nice sized white bass. They wanted tail spinners that day vs the slabs I normally fish with. That was 2 years ago and during the summer but the point would be a great place to start looking. According to TPWD there are no striper in Lake Somerville, only whites and hybrids. I would expect to find hybrids in the deeper water off that point and whites on top or close to the point as well.

Did ok casting shad colored crankbaits around ridges and humps last week. Spotty action though. Had to keep hunting to find active eaters.
