The reason... Toledo Bend shares waters with Louisiana. Just had two guys fish our Texas dock in a white Venus with a 150 on it. No hull ID numbers. I went out to talk to them and they were from Louisiana. Gave me a long story of how they don’t keep any fish and just fish for fun. While talking I heard banging and asked what that was. They said they keep the fish for pictures. They then kept every fish they caught regardless of size. I counted 5 that I saw them keep for pictures. I have seen several Louisiana boats keep everything they catch.

TBend held up just fine to the Cajun factor and pressure until they killed off the grass. It’s not like the Cajun factor just started happening, that’s been going on since the lake was impounded.

100% agree on the grass. Oddly, Louisiana has lots of grass, just no fish. I hate the Cajun factor and there is not near enough Game Wardens to enforce. It is very frustrating to watch all these cajuns come over and keep everything that they catch. The lake already has a ton of pressure and no cover for the spawn has caused a significant decline in fish populations in my area.

I now live on Toledo and have been fishing it since the early 70's. I put in out of White Oak boat ramp which doesn't have a big parking area and it's full of Lousiana plates and usually I am the only Texas plate in the parking lot.

More pressure and people keeping fish on toledo now than ever. That story unfolds all over the lake. I've seen stringer fulls of bass come out of blue lake area from flat-bottoms and waders. Fish from 10" to 8-9lbs. I saw a guy last year put 3 6's in an ice chest up there. Was in a bay boat. It's a different mentality over there, can't change that

Still does not make big Sam better.
And it not the bends fault.
Unfortunately there’s country fried bumpkins in Texas too!
The reason the Texas side is better is cos the river Chanel and deep water are mostly in Texas! Deep water is the home of the bass!

I'm not gonna give my opinion, cause I really don't have one, but for what it's worth cause I do find it funny, I have a South Louisiana friend who travels to T Bend all the time. To him it's like the only lake, and he HATESSSS the "cajun factor". That fool is on facebook every day griping about his people eating all the bass. It's constant facebook posts ridiculing people for keeping bass. So, at the last Bullet rally, we gave him a Bubba Blade. LOLLLLL. Burned him up. Good times.

Ken Smith said this in his video a few weeks back. It makes no sense when it was every bit as good as Sam in 2016-2017. TB isn’t a lake which you can go up and down the bank and catch fish year around. It’s still a good deep water structure fishery.

Is his Bullet white and his truck matches it? If so I tell him #RIG every time he posts about it.
