Today is officially the day you put the turkey in the frig so it will be thawed out to cook for Thanksgiving.

Anybody ever put a partially frozen turkey in boiling peanut oil?

If your peanut oil is boiling you have an entirely different problem.

Check way down deep where the sun doesn’t shine in that turkey. A small piece of ice down deep inside is a bad thing.

I always thaw meats in a cooler. A couple days in, I’ll start adding frozen gallon water jugs. Turkeys, brisket, pork butts. All good.
