It started out cold around 48 like last week and by the time we got off the water it was in the low 70's. However there was a brisk wind when we got on the water and it just got worse as the day went on. The MLF format counts every fish over 10" including slot fish. We fish three rotating sections on Lake Fork every other Thursday daytime about 22 times a year.. Members must fish at least 8 tournaments to maintain membership.
Like the Major League Tournament format they go thru several ways of eliminate anglers to get to their championship day. We do it a little differently because we don't start with 30 anglers. All of our members can qualify for the semi-final by catching 6 LB in one tournament during the year or by fishing 80%. So today we started with the top 7 boats surviving the semi-final each with a boater and co-angler. We fished section 3 for today. Everyone's least favorite section.
Boaters
1st Randy Bunch of Lake Fork with 9 bass for 24.21 LB with the boater lunker of 4.97 LB 2nd Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 10 bass for 15.62 Lb with a 1.72 LB lunker 3rd Gary Pardini of Tyler with 7 bass for 10.58 Lb with a 3.31 LB lunker. 4th Jack White of Farmers Branch with 5 bass for 9.32 Lb with a 3.46 Lb lunker. 5th Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with 5 bass for 9.05 with a 3.16 LB lunker.
Co Anglers
1st Greg Geisler of Lake Fork with 3 bass for 10.45 and the co-angler lunker of 6.40 2nd Bob Lambert of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 7.03 with a 1.87 LB lunker. 3rd Don Cox of Garland with 3 bass for 5.63 LB Lb with a 3.78 lunker. 4th Jackie Price of Alba with 2 bass for 3.09 Lb with a 1.92 LB lunker. 5th Bill Ailes of Sulphur Springs with 1 bass for 1.21 Lb .
55. were caught and there was 1 skunk.
