We went in Ed's boat and only fished two places due to wind and waves: Figure Eight (from about 10:30 AM to 2:45 PM) and Greenville Pump Station (GPS)(from about 3 PM to 5:15 PM). We ended up with 95: 91 white bass, 3 cats, and a 19-inch striper. At Figure Eight we were in 8 to 16 fow and had to move around a lot to stay on fish. Fish were very reluctant to bite. The presentation that worked best was holding the rod down and to the side and very slowly cranking the Mepps #4 two to three turns of the reel. We could see fish, but you might get a bite about every 10 th cast. Needless to say, it was very slow fishing, but we managed 53 whites, the striper, and a couple of the cats there.

At GPS fish bit a little better. We fished in 12 to 16 fow. There they would take the 6 and 9 presentations. That is, reel fast, stop, hesitate, then reel smoothly medium-slow with rod pointed at reel. Or do the same but add a sudden start. We probably should have gone to GPS sooner since we caught them faster there.

great post Dennis l guess that was the reason l didn't see you yesterday. We caught a 100 yesterday but like you said they were not wanting to feed a lot of the fish 🐟 were caught outside the mouth or snagged on the side where they were slapping it. man it was windy when l got there but settled down so . mostly smaller fish yesterday .
