If you use Every Day, everyday, you are liable to jerk the lips completely off of a crappie with that set up.

It all depends on how you use it. The action on that rod is a bit stiff for crappie but as long as you don't set the hook like you're bass fishing, you'll be OK. My crappie rods are all 8-10' ACC rods in medium action, with 20# Suffix braid...and I've been known to catch a few crappie on them.

We had ONE cheap pole with a Zebco 33 on it when I was a yute. We caught every type of fish there was in east Texas. It ain’t about the fishing pole...
