Just thinking that IF they defunk the student loans how are some colleges going to stay open? Maybe some of these liberal arts schools may learn a lesson on leaning to the left.

the last article I read said that tuition had gone up 213% in the last few yrs.

colleges are infected with left wing loons, I was back till 2012 (fall semester) as part of work comp rehab.
when obie care came out and was still being thought out the profs that were obviously left leaning was astonishing.
this was at OSU in Okieland, I actually proved that obiecare was bad in an american history pre 1865 class. still don't have any idea what obiecare had with american history pre 1865.

we as a society have allowed the left to infect our colleges and universities with loony toon professors and "lecturers" that are infecting those less than 30 with asinine bs that our constitution, capitalism, business owners etc. are all bad, bad, bad!

people would have to quit going to college to bring down tuition in a reasonable way, what is the over/under?

I thought the colleges already got their money. Its the federal program and the banks that own the paper.
At least thats what I thought. If the feds were to forgive the loans I also assumed that would mean they would pay off the private sector banks for it.
The total is 1.7 trillion. As if we had that kind of coin to give away.

I would not be upset at some college profs being unemployed to be honest, let them live with the result of many of the policies they have long supported.

Sports (football) and alumni donations keep most of the major institutions beyond profitable.
That, and out-of-state tuition increases keep the machine running.
Loan forgiveness is largely on the gov’t teet!

College used to be largely supported by the Federal/State Government. That is why it was so inexpensive when we went to College and so expensive today.

Highest paid state employee (by an extremely wide margin) is the head football coach of the state university

I’m ready for MSU to take a bigazz financial hit. Google Nathan Jun he’s a whopper of a professor who’s poked the hornets nest one too many times and MSU stands by him as “free speech.”

Yep, but in at least some states, it’s partially paid by boosters, but they’re still state employees and considered the highest paid state employee.

Damn, what in TFF and life doesn’t have to do with politics? Every question in here has to have a political undertone.
Post:I went crappie fishing and all I caught were unders, all 9-9 1/2 inches.
Answer: Biden got elected so keeper crappie aren’t biting.
Post: My local HS team beat Aledo Friday night for the 1st time in 32 years.
Answer: That’s because Aledo people thinks Orange Man bad.

Damn I wish we could have a conversation without politics being the undertone. My dear old 76 yo mom is the same way. Call her to see how she’s doing, feeling or how things are back home. The answer ALWAYS has Trump or Biden involved one way or the other. Dear sweet baby Jesus please don’t allow me to be like that!!
Maybe I’m wrong on this or maybe I may not be wrong.

Even if Orgeron should be fired, politics mentioned. Not many post where they aren’t mentioned.

Why did you choose profs as opposed to professors? Ive noticed people will go out of their way to abbreviate certain words, even after typing multiple unabbreviated worlds. For example... “Hey, what are you doing rn?” Instead of spelling out right now, they opted for rn... I just wonder why people do that.. although there is no abbreviation for unemployed, unemployed is a 10 letter word, so why not finish professors?

Fly, we would make good fishing partners. I’m so damn sick and tired of hearing about politics!! I concur with your post 1,000%.
