Haven’t been on Fork in a while so this report is a long time coming! I’ve been busy with work and trips lately on LOP. We fished the PCT Sunday on Fork and managed a tough fought 3rd place finish! Conditions were horrible! Has trips the 2 days prior on Pines and sure was glad the weather cooperated! No way I would have fished Sunday if it wasn’t a tournament day but heck that’s about par for tournament day! We had about and hour and a half before the wind got western! We started our day at 7am lines in with a broken transducer bracket on the Livescope! Got that changed out and was fishing about 10 minutes after lines in and out our big fish in the boat pretty quick and broke another one off in the trees!

We started on plan A and ended the day on maybe plan F! Mother Nature likes to throw curve balls on tourney day and I honestly look forward to the challenge! We caught several fish throughout the day but the big bite was tough for us. We were tossing 1.5 fish in the cooler most the morning and later figured we might should have kept some of them! Maybe left some weight on the table but we figured it was gonna take 15.5 pounds at least and a 1.5 wasn’t gonna do much for that! We put our fish in the boat with 11’ KR Jenko rods and hand ties on Limits Tackle 1/4 oz jig heads in Shad and purple and chart and the new Jenko afterburner jig heads and plastics in 1/4 oz pink head and disco body fishing submerged timber in 25-35’ with most fish holding 20-30’ deep.

I have the first 2 weeks of December open for Fork, Palestine, or Pines. If your looking to load the cooler with a shot at a trophy give me a shout!

Did you just post this to get to 10K posts? Not much substance to it.

Slew, great write up and report. Congrats on the tourney finish! I have not tried fishing that deep yet but glad to hear they are on a pattern at least for now. I need to order some jigs from Steve. I keep putting it off and I am low on hair jigs.

Thanks! If you can catch his 5 for $5 deal that's pretty sweet! If you tie your own like me his prices are great for quality heads. If your looking for some body else to tie them Chris with Slab Syndicate or Pappy at Lake Fork both make awesome jigs! Chris's jigs look like they come out of a factory! I don't know how he gets them all so uniform. I tie a bag full and dump 3-4 out and pick the best looking one! Mine all look a little different but the fish don't care!
