Anybody remember these things? I picked up a couple a while back for $10 each and leave one in my SxS at the deer lease. It’ll never replace a regular rod and reel, but works pretty good for quick stops at a cattle pond after leaving the deer blind. It’s hard to get a hook set, so you almost have to use a moving lure. I caught several decent ones with it last weekend. I remember seeing the ads on TV back in the day.

In one the new Walking Dead spin-offs one kid is carrying a Popiel pocket Fishermen as they navigate the wasteland. He fishes and they use it kill Zombies.
