I didn't get a DD this year on CB. Closest I got was 9.75. Lots of folks did including two guys with me. It's not automatic like some may think.

Here is the 9.75 I got on a squarebill.

What is amazing about really big baits is the drawing power. You will get followers that can't resist taking a look. They may not commit but now you know where she is. I have been on small lakes where people tell me "Oh, there's nothing in here bigger than 4 pounds." They were shocked at what came and took a look. They will come a long way too - both in distance and depth.

Dang Rocky! I may very well take you up on that offer. You got the good hooks on them already too! Looks like the Decoy 4 point hooks on the trout.

Anytime Ken! I got a bunch of swimbaits that need some hook rash on them since it's hard for me to get away and fish!

Great video. Very famous boat house for big fish. That ramp is used for the trout stockings. I can only imagine CB after they stock trout!

Is he sponsored by Brunswick Pool Cues? That is a monster bait and a monster fish. Thanks for sharing and good luck ringing the Camelot Bell!

Reason I ask is I fish a small lake that only has Threadfin and I had a great day once I put down the big bait and threw tiny threadfin size baits and caught a nice 8lber.

There's a reason you don't put gizzards in a smaller lake but Mike might be one of the few places exempt from that rule. Even a 3 lb gizzard isn't safe at The Bell.

Our lake is 15 acres with Max depth of 40Ft. We put gizzards in 3yrs ago. We waited until be had a solid population of Large Bass to help manage them. If you're wanting to grow trophy bass the are a good thing.

Are you going to add another split ring to the hooks? I feel like it really helps the hook to have more range to pivot, twist and helps keep the fish hooked up on my large glide baits. Not that Ive had many takers on my large glide baits... But I did see a 9 caught on one on Niche!
