Looking for basic info. Never have seen the lake. Going to put in at Marina ramp. What are if there is any any safe paths to run and is it a dock fishing lake or grass / timber deal. Thanks in advance.

Winnsboro is a great little lake. I am still learning it but do not run the middle of the lake. There are safe running about 35 yards from shore on the east side of the lake up till about the middle of the lake. As with any lake, be cautious in running it. You can do the same them up on the west side of the lake but you can’t go as far. Send me a text at 903440onefive14 and I can send you a map of what I know seem to be safe.

Winnsboro is not safe to run. It is small though, you can idle around most of the lake.

Please be careful fishing the shoreline from ramp to dam. There is a few pieces of rebar in rocks along that shore. I put a 8' gouge in a brand new boat out there last summer when I decided to fish those reeds before I loaded up to leave.

Ohhhh but did I ever hear it...
