He caught this 9.1 a couple of months ago at my brothers pond in Lindale! I weighed it a couple of times thinking it had to way more.

Thanks Walls. It was hot as hell and the water clarity was about 2 inches when he caught her. He really fished hard for her. I was sitting in the house enjoying the a/c when my daughter came running threw the door yelling. Tyler’s got a monster! We’ve caught lots of quality bass and some magnum crappie out of this pond. I’m thinking about moving to east Texas now...love that area.

I grew up in Tyler which is right there (begged many a landowner to fish their ponds in my youth) and I love the area. Life just landed me in NE Houston and then a family took over. Do it if you can.

I would be begging too. He had to run a lot of fisherman off when he moved in. He would let them finish fishing and kindly ask them not to come back. The previous owner let people fish there. Caught these crappie on a 1/4 trap.
