Banker, I wonder if there will be a private stocking in Castell? Not on schedule. Nothing in Killeen this year. I am going to try the two small lakes on the east side of Austin. The metropolitan park is right off 130 toll. Nothing in Lampasas this year. We only get 1 stocking in GTX again this year. I have plenty of spots to raid within an hour of home. Let's meet up at Palmetto,.!?!? I have a good supply of SDL's but not enough to resell! HaHa! Hope to see y'all on the circuit somewhere.

I'm still seeing SDL's online for $3.99. The best time to stock up is in summer. The Walmart in Steamboat Springs, CO sells them off the shelf. Didn't go this summer because of cov19. By the way, I caught the largest rainbows of last season on March 1, 2020 in Temple. Good fishihing to everyone!

Yes there is. It's posted! I see where they took away some of the stockings in Round Rock this year. I do plan to fish Palmetto. I also have few other favorites I will be fishing. I also have plenty of Super Dupers and the Power Bait.

Banker: I found the Castell date! Do you fish Kerrville? I understand it can be a real zoo.

I do not fish Kerrville because of the crowds. I am also planning on fishing days after the original stocking date. I simply hate crowds!

If you can't find Super Dupers in sizes and colors you like, there is a lure called the Li'l Jake that has a similar design. The Li'l Jake is also good for white bass.

Speaking with several sporting goods managers they all have said to expect shortages on fishing tackle this winter. Trout tackle will also be hard to find in certain areas.




Side Note: Looks like TPW has taken off some of the stockings on the current list. Fisher Park New Braunfels has been removed. Friend of mine who lives in the Dallas area said a couple stockings have been removed also. I heard that there have been a couple of other places added and some places got a extra date.

Was at my local Walmart and as I always do I head over the tackle section just to see what might be there. I hit the "Jack Pot" Berkley Trout Bait Four Pack for $9.96. Yellow, Orange, Chartreuse, and Rainbow. That was the only one on the shelf. Needless to say it is now in my tackle room ready to the upcoming trout stocking season.



Side Note: Looks like they had plenty of sunfish hooks and I saw several packs of panfish sinkers.

It's going to be hit and miss on the tackle buying. Best bet would be online buying providing the amount on hand!

Found 2 gold with red tip super dupers at Academy in west Plano yesterday. You can check Academy inventory on their website but in can be off when they get low inventory items. I checked it before I went but surprise there were 2, never hurts to just take a look.
