Thanks for sharing. I do believe that if you were to learn the Uni Uni knot it would prove to be a much smaller profile knot than what I saw in your video. I've tried several and for an old timer with beat up fingers, it is easiest for me to tie. It may not be the smallest but it works for me. good luck out there.

Easiest thing to do is focus on one knot at a time. The benefit of uni-to-uni is that you have a strong knot pushing against a strong knot. The easiest way to tie is basically think of your cinch knot, but loop the line inside itself!

Try the crazy alberto knot. To me it is a smaller profile knot to tie your leader to braid.

FG is an awesome and tiny knot.
It takes tying a dozen times to get it down where it looks the same every time but once you do you won't find another that matches its strength or size.

If he has trouble tying the double uni knot I don't think he will like trying to tie the Alberto knot and especially not the FG.

Alberto knot is easy and super strong. I will tie 10 to 12’ of fluorocarbon on and use it till the leader is to short from re tying and the Alberto is still going strong!
