Heading to Los Angeles for work in January. Can anyone recommend a guide for Lake Castaic?

I've been a couple times. If I were you I would do some research before you got go Castaic. The lake had been over taken by big stripers the last time I was there and I don't see it getting better for largemouth.
Look into Casitas for largemouth., Call Matt Newman (not the guy that does Tactial Bassin) Tell him I sent you.

I've been to both Casitas and Castaic but caught my biggest bass in a small lake that's about half way between them. Piru I think.

Lake Casitas is your best bet for a big one... But none of them are what they used to be definitely Castaic is downhill. Stripers as mentioned have jacked it good.

Are they letting Californians out of their house yet? I know the TacticalBassin guys moved to Tennessee at least in part due to the restrictions Cali was imposing.
