Is there any place to fish for tilapia around Houston TX that you would not be worry to eat them.

 To the TFF! Side Note: As for catching eatable Tilapia in the Houston area I would not know. I do know that if they are caught in good water conditions they are a very good eating.

I know tilapia is in some of the bayous like Brays Bayou in Houston TX. I seen them caught on a you tube video by Wild Life however I would not feel eating fish out of Brays Bayou would be safe due to runoff around Houston. I did see a post that someone caught one out of Lake Houston but that was the only one post. I may try to call the Texas Park and Wildlife, they should point me in the right direction.

That is a great idea. They will get you in the right direction for sure. Hope you catch a bunch and let us know how you do.

I don't know that you know, there a lot of tilapia fishing areas in the greater San Antonio, TX area. Look it up, you would be surprised, I was.

 RC to the TFF! Yes sir there is a lot ot Tilapia fishing in the San Antonio area. The two power plant lakes are loaded with them. Also area rivers have them also.

San Antonio River is loaded with them. So is Calaveras Lake and Braunig Lake.
