Fished Lady Bird Lake (as usual) this Sunday. The sunfish bite isn't what it was over the summer. I fished from just after 6 am to 11 am and ended up catching 44 sunfish and 5 LMB. Started in Barton Springs, all the way up by the pool, then fished the south side of the main lake down to the I35 bridges. The water temp was 68 degrees in the creek and 66 on the main lake. Caught a bunch of small (6" and under) fish in the usual spots, mostly under overhanging tree limbs in 6'-8' of water. Caught the big fish on the day in less than a foot of water. Caught about half on a Strike King Bitsy Minnow, the rest on Gulp Alive Minnows jigged on a 1/32d OZ jig head.

Caught this gal on the Bitsy Minnow in really shallow water, under a cut in the bank as far as I could get my kayak up Barton Creek. I thought I was hung up...until she started pulling drag. It was a fun fight on an ultralight/fast rod with 4lb test mono! The picture doesn't do her justice, she was hanging out both sides of my landing net. Not too proud to say this is my big bass of the year so far, guessing about 3 lbs.

Caught this one just past the I35 South Bound Bridge in about 17' of water (she was part of a school about 12'-14' down) jigging with a GAM on a trout magnet jig head.
