It's time for the yearly maintenance on my engine. I would like to clean up my engine's cover. Last time I soaked it in cleaner and scrubbed it, but it did do too well. The time before that, I ran it in the washer and got about the same results. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to actually get these clean effectively? Thanks in advance for any help.

Count me in on wanting to know how to clean these. Mother Nature is a bi###. Mine looks like it has hard water stains on it plus it's fading. I really doubt if there is much that can be done.

I use a foam cannon and pressure washer...looks as good as new. I also spray mine with Bass Boat Saver every other trip to keep it clean and UV protected.

Had a Tuff Skinz on my Cat for six years, looked like new when I traded it. When I take it to to car wash I sprayed the lower part of the Tuff Skinz with Comet bathroom cleaner to get the white off. Scrubbed it with with soft window brush. Rinsed real good. Let it dry and then I always kept it wiped down with McGuire's detail spray or Lucas slick mist. Got a new Tuff Skinz on my new rig, giving it the same love, looks like new after a year.

I use the high pressure wand at the car wash, mine is about 8 years old and has the BassCat emblems on it and the red part is starting to come off and the cover is faded a little. For what I've put it through it has held up well, spraying BBS on it for uv protection is a good idea.

StarBrite Vinyl Guard by far the best product I have found to keep the Tuff Skinz looking new. Just spray it down good and wipe off the excess and your done!

Boat stays stored inside the StarBrite will take the gray chalky color off the cover from water stains and sun fading and have it looking new

Used some StarBrite Extreme Clean on mine today, then pressure washed it. It didn't come out looking brand new but it definitely looks better.

It’s a motor cover for a motor cover. If it fades outside and the motor doesn’t didn’t it do it’s job? Sorry.......
