Anyone towing with a f150 with the 10spd auto? I think it’s my next truck. 5.0 with 10speed. Had a 18 Chevy with the 8 speed auto and wasn’t that impressed with it

You’ll just have to drop down to 8th-9th gear while towing anything with some weight to it. 10th gear is just too small, unless you get one of the bigger rear axle ratios, then you’ll lose a little mpg’s when empty though.

I have a 2019 with the 5.0 and 10 speed 3.55 limited slip diff, and it handles towing my boat and utility trailers just fine. Put it in the tow/haul mode and it won't or rarely go into 10 as well as when slowing down it uses the transmission to downshift more to assist in braking. This one gets right at the same mpg as my 2015 w/5.0 6 speed 3.55 LS which is depending on traffic and how many stop and go's between 15 to as good as 17 mpg if it's just straight highway. Unloaded is where it really does the best, i drive to and from work everyday 70 miles round trip on the George Bush Autobaun and get 20 to 21 mpg even at 75mph. You don't dare to drive the speed limit unless you want to get run over. Plus it also has a sport mode that I don't use anymore because of a few close calls with law enforcement. There isn't anything I would hesitate to pull with it short of a 35' fifth wheel.

I agree completely. I have a 2018 5.0 W/10 speed. Just put it in tow/haul mode and hit the road. Just got back from a 700 mile trip. Got 21.7 MPG driving between 75 and 80. Love my truck.

2018 with ecoboost / 10 speed. Handles 20' boat 200hp motor no problems at all.

I just put in tow/haul and get 15/16 mpg, that's better than my tundra did with nothing behind it

I make up for this by happily passing every other truck on the road....and my wife driving a Hybrid. Lol

I don't know about you passing me on the road, but I'll pass you every time you stop for gas, which is quite often..

Yeh. It’s kinda sickening. But, I didn’t buy this thing for fuel economy. Don’t know what my truck weighs, but 500+ horsepower moving it takes fuel! Haha.
