Went to FCL on Sunday. I haven't been in quite some time. Got to Park Prairie around 9:30am. The winds were light, the water was dark green and at a good level. Although we did not fish it, I noticed the vegetation at the point just south of the courtesy slips. That was nice. My 2 favorite spots had boats on them, so we went to the discharge. Tried fishing the shallower flats with crank baits and lipless baits but did not get a bite. Moved on to the rocks at the discharge and my Wife caught a #3-14 on a small square bill. Nice fish. We would fish the rocks on both sides of the discharge with only 1 dink and a 2-pounder. We left there and I headed to a cove where there has been grass and have caught some nice fish. The remains of some good vegetation was there but the fish weren't. Left there and went to the other side of the lake, found the same kind of grass but once again, no fish. Tried the cedar trees, the baffle dike, some reed lines and the rocks at the dam with on 2 fish to show for it.

I don't know what to make of this. It was overcast most of the day, so bluebird skies didn't kill us. I couldn't tell you what the barometric pressure was or what the solar/lunar chart said. It looked like a lake that should have been producing some bites. I couldn't catch squat.

Was there Saturday and Sunday and Sunday was definitely tougher. Very foggy for most of the morning with a light wind and couldn't believe we didn't find much of a shallow bite other than a 4#er on a buzz bait. We fished from 7-11 and only caught 19. Most on C Rigs and many of them were pretty small. Saturday was pretty crowded, but we managed to find a few early on buzz baits and quite a few small ones in 15-20 ft of water on worms. I heard it was crowded on Friday as well.

Were you and another guy fishing over by the north side of the baffle dike? I spoke with someone there in a Skeeter.

Not me, we don't fish the dike much. We actually have a Ranger now, but I kept "Skeeter John" since I was so well known! roflmao
