Anyone make mismatched lures?
Like a 2 inch spinnerbait that’s 3/4 oz to match the shad that are at the base of riprap? Or a large spinnerbait that’s only 1/16 oz for waking in pads? Dont know why the hook is determined by the weight? Like a larger hook on a 1/32 oz lead head

Solve your 2 inch SB. problem with an H&H spinner and clip on the 3/4 oz. jig head. Add the blade size you are looking for also. This one is not hard to build as all parts are available.
Large Spinner Baits in 1/16 oz. is not available on the market. You can get find a few smaller weight jig heads with a good Bass hook; but not many. The only way you can get what you want is to commission CAST Industries to build that. You have to take 100 on the order and the fee is $300 per mold to build them.
You can custom build your own large light weight spinners. - Order just the wire. - Order the Split Bullet Weights in any size you want and pinch it on the wire where it is designed for the weight to go. - Use a a Sauder Gun to secure the weight. - Paint the head and add the blade and plastic trailer.
I will be glad to build any of this for you; as I have the materials ready to go.

Thanks Why don’t the big manufacturers think about these things and why do they have hook size and bait size determined by the weight

hook size should be based off of the rod required to use the bait. Light action rods wont sink a thick hook on a longer cast. Heavy action rods will bend out light hooks on large fish. The bend and sizing is related to the size of the bait. a 3/4 jig with a 2/0 hook will not have any hook to sink into a fish after you add a trailer. Many on here would prefer using 5/0 or 6/0 heavy wire on all presentations. I have them ask me to make shaky heads with them.
Woke up this morning Got yourself a gun....
