This may be a rookie question, but what lures can best be utilized on a Medium/Lite power with Moderate/Fast Action Rod?

Your question has lots of answers depending on many factors.

Baitcasting Shimano Curado 200I. It has I think 20 pound braid if I can remember correctly. It was my uncles who sadly passed away from cancer. It is a quality rod, but I am used to medium heavy fast types of rods. I am going fishing this weekend and want to have it rigged up before getting on the water. Just was not sure what lure would work well with it.

Could serve as a jerkbait rod, depending on if it leans more towards fast than medium action.

All in all, just try various baits and line weights until you find something you like. I use rods for certain things that some people might deem unsuitable for the task. Unless you're trying to drive large heavy hooks with it I don't see any problems using it for whatever suits you.

This rod is excellent for casting light lures. A weightless fluke, weightless Texas Rig worm/lizard, and a Wacky Rig stick worm are the first three that I'd go to. Basically any finesse set up would be excellent with this rod.

Top water, with a lighter rod you can cast further, impart better action on popping type baits (yellow Magic), the bend in the rod when you set the hook will allow the fish to eat the bait if you are too quick, and the treble hooks won't pull free as easy when a fish surges or jumps. For the same reasons it would be a good rod for smaller crank baits in more open water (not too much cover you would need to horse a fish out of).
