Regardless of cost, what's the best "all around" 12 month rain suit out there on the market today?
* Simms * Cabelas Guidewear * Frogg Toggs * Grundens * Bucks N Bass * etc....

This is like Ford vs Chevy...everyone has their preference and price range.
The question is how much are you willing to pay?

Regardless of cost? Simms Pro Dry- no contest This I agree. Frogg Toggs shouldn't even be in the list if you are looking for the best.

I currently have a Cabelas Guidewear that's probably going on 20 years old. It's had all the velcro replaced and has been treated numerous times over the years. That suit has been good for cold weather, but TX summers are a different story. I'm more interested in a suit that's not going to get heavy when wet, and could be used for all seasons with layering for the cold days. Looks like the Simms would be around $1200 for the set, any place offering a better price?
I was recently introduced to the Buck N Bass suit, but have yet to put my hands on a set. It's right up ther with the Simms, but not Gore-tex. Kind of liking the idea of a lighter suit that doesn't get saturated and heavy. How's the Simms handle all day rains, do they get heavy or soaked?

I have Bass Pro suit that was about $200 that works fine. I also have a Gill that was close to $500 that is really nice. It all depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Duluth Alaskan Hard Gear is really good stuff, and more affordable than Simms etc.. I can't speak of how watertight it is at 75 mph though.
