My Dad has always wanted to go fishing in Mexico. He lives in Utah and has trout fished his whole life but loves to watch Bass fishing and goes with me when he is down to visit. Anyway we sold our house a while back and I had the money so I decided to treat him before it was too late and I had a big ole fat regret to deal with. I asked him if he wanted to go and it took him about three seconds to say yes. I booked with Ron Speed Jrs and got all the flights set up in the summer of 2019, we originally were scheduled to go the last week of March 2020. Well of course the stupid corona and travel bans and what not and our trip was delayed. I rescheduled the trip for this last week and man oh man was it worth every penny and every hour in an airport with a stupid mask on. We flew out last Wed. and got home last night at about midnight. We caught somewhere between 350-400 fish in the three days we were there with the biggest at about 6 pounds. There were a couple of 7 plus caught by others in camp. You could fish however you ike and catch them. We did soak plastics deep and while that or jigs in 25 plus fow is probably your best shot at a big fish, my dad fell in love with the square bill in shallow water. We fished mostly shallow and just hammered them everywhere we went on top water, spinner baits, texas rigs, square bills, anything you like to throw. The guides were polite, friendly, and knew the lake well. Most important, they took the time to take care of my Dad and make sure he caught fish and stayed in the boat! The boats are Express aluminums with Yamaha power and were well cared for. The lodge and staff and food were top notch! I would not hesitate to use any operation run by Ron Speed based on my experience there. Oh and as far as the safety of it all, I did not for one moment feel unsafe! I felt much worse fishing Falcon and staying on our side of the River. All and all an excellent adventure and a memory and time with my Pop I will treasure for ever!

That's awesome Bass Buster! Lost my dad in 2013 but got to take him to Canada on a fly in trip with my brother and a few other family members. Caught tons of small mouth, pike, and largemouth. But the memories created always make me smile. Place looks really pretty too! Nice job brother!
