Benn a few months since I've been, and the water seemed to be way cleaner in the spring. Lake was jam packed with loose sticks, leaves, and all kinds of floating organic debris. Maybe just the time of year?

The lake was turning over last week and whenever we get a decent rain, all kinds of debris comes down the Brazos. A couple of weeks ago, the current was so strong, the channelmarker buoys were showing a current behind them.

Caught some Big Bass using those pockets of floating trash for shade in every lake. This happens to almost all of them during high water. It will take a week or two for the water to clear and the Bass to set up under the debris pockets.

Granbury is a long skinny lake and will always get debris after a heavy rain if there has been a long dry period.

The long skinny lakes tend to get more debris as the water recedes vs rising at times.
