TPWD's website says that there are 3 boat ramps. What is the best one to launch out of with adequate parking for a car and boat trailer? It is my understanding that you can fish out of a boat while using your trolling motor.
Does Lady Bird have hydrilla or other vegetation?

The only one I know is under the I-35 bridge. I would never launch there due to the number of homeless in that area. Along the same lines I would not fish any lake in Austin for the same reasons.

I believe there is one under Mopac (Loop 1) also. Yeah, I could imagine that one is full of homeless too.

The one under Mopac is Lake Austin and it is no longer that good due to the grass carp. Two entirely different lakes.

There are three ramps, one at Stephen F. Austin Highschool just off of MOPAC, one at Festival Beach, and one behind the Holiday Inn at I35. I've never used the one at Festival Beach so I can't speak to that one. The one at Stephen F. Austin won't work for a bass boat. It only goes to the edge of the water and there's a 3' drop off the end of the ramp. It works fine for kayaks, but not for anything you have to float off the trailer. The I35 Ramp does work for bass boats, that's where I've generally seen them put in.
As for vegetation, the main lake is pretty devoid except around Red Bud Island at one end of the lake and Snake Island at the other end. There are a few patches along the way, but the grass carp have worked their magic. There is a lot of hydrilla in Barton Creek, but I don't think you can get a bass boat up the creek because the mouth is so shallow.
I haven't seen a lot of homeless under the I35 bridges, that's a popular parking spot for folks bank fishing under the bridge and people jogging/biking around the lake. Never seen homeless at the Stephen F. Austin ramp (which I use almost every Sunday to put my kayak in). I will say that until it gets cold there are homeless on every bench you can see from the water, camping on Snake Island, and bathing in Barton Creek.

I've banked fish there in years past, into the early morning and never had any problems. Has their been documented problems with fishing (boat or bank) with the homeless under the i35 bridge in recent years?

I put in under I35 bridge a few times, never had an issue. I parked along the road and not under the bridge. It is a lonnnnnnng trolling motor up to barton creek area. I have bank fished Red Bud Isle, never made it there with a boat, there are some bigs up by Red Bud though
