The Redear bite has been GREAT all year. Having some great days but also some slow days in between. Catching plenty of fish in the 8 to 11 inch range. South central small lakes, creeks, and rivers have all produced nice fish. Bottom techniques using worms with a slow retrieve get good results. Fish are holding in and close to heavy grass beds. Also finding fish next to drop offs. Fish are being caught in 3 to 6 feet of water. All fish were released to fight again. Here are some resent catches. Having a GREAT year catching some "Trophy Redear" ! It just don't get any better! fish

Thanks Curt for the reply! I have been lucky to be at the right place at the right time on certain water bodies. I have caught a bunch in the 10 plus inch and a few in the 11 plus inch range these past couple of weeks. The overall Redear bite has been great. thumb

Thanks Steve and Barry for the replies. Steve: I did not have a thermometer. The water felt cold. These cold fronts have made a lot of fish very active. The Rios are another story. They have gone into hiding. hide2 Still catching some loners. thumb

Good looking fish there my friend. I imagine they are a little confused now with the diverse temps. hmmm

Thanks Curtis and Ken for the replies! cheers Curtis: The Redear bite has been great all year and continues to be! 2020 has been a very good Redear year. thumb Ken: Seems that these cold fronts are really getting the Redear more active. I got a feeling after this next round of fronts the places I am catching them on are going to turn off! hide2
