I wouldn’t hesitate to go all alpha on Nordstrom’s. Any department.

pr. of 250.00 snake boots did that to me about 3 yrs. ago, owner gave them to me and only wore them once.
second time out the soles evaporated. bps did warranty them tho and this pr. is still good, same name boot.

the 100 yr. old boot folks missed a chance to earn a customer and maybe get a few more if they do him right. people who buy/wear work boots for work will be asked more than once what boot they wear/recommend. not a good pr move but I do understand their side of it, sorta.

I had a pair of die-hards safety shoes from sears back in the late '80s wore them for about 6 months until I got laid off. Changed careers and never wore them again until about 2003 when the wife and took a tour of an offshore drilling platform my wife helped design. Halfway through the soles disintegrated just like those. 15-year-old boots I did not care.

Not really sure what you're expecting.

If you only bought them 1 year ago and they took the company over several years ago why didn’t they warranty them. Unless you bought old close out stock.

Just send them a nice reply that states your unhappiness and how they have now not only lost one customer but in the internet age they have lost many more.

Same issue with Timerberland POS boots. No problem with three prior pairs over the past 10-12 years. Last pair lasted less than a year. Dropped by the retail store off 35 anticipating a repair and manager said, "yes, it was caused by a known manufacturing defect in the rubber but that since they are out of their 30 day warranty. No repair is available." I let everyone in the store know that they were a POS and I would never buy the brand any longer and disparage them whenever I had the opportunity - in-store rant actually felt therapeutic...

When you buy a boot that is on sale from a company that claims to be 100 years old and to have quality tough boots, you expect to be able to wear them more than 2 times before they disintegrate. I am a Disabled Veteran, 3 weeks ago I was in a wheelchair, before and after that I walk with a cane, and have great pain and difficulty with walking more than 100 steps. I was NOT hard in any way with these boots. I don't research who bought the name, they don't advertise being 2 years old, they say the are 100 years old. I have shower shoes from 20 years ago when I was still on active duty that I can still wear. I will continue to post as much as I can because they are not honest in their advertising of Tough Boots made for hard working Americans with Great Quality and Great customer service. Could I buy a new pair of boots Certainly. I am a man of my word, I would die for my word still and would have given my life for this country many times over, as many of my friends did. This is a matter of being lied to, and cheated and that I cannot tolerate.

I would be tempted to buy one more pair and see if it happened a fourth time.

The sole fell off one my 3 year old Ariat boots a couple weeks ago. I put it back together with gorilla glue. Good as new now.

They were probably made in the same factory the Iron Age Boots were because that is Exactly what happened to mine, both heals just slid off.
