Got a question - has anyone purchased the boatlanes for Lake Fork with the download option recently? All the instructions indicate the zip file should have a .gpx file included but my download is only showing a matrix folder with a 000.ht and DATA.HWR file. Just wanting to validate if something has changed or if the download is not correct. I have downloaded the file on both a MAC and PC - both are the same.

Thanks!

Thanks - I have been looking for a phone number. Went back and found one on the order confirmation, I'll give them a call. I'll post an update to help anyone else that runs into this.

Thanks!

Humminbird SOLIX units have a bad bug displaying large tracks. Boatlanes are large tracks.
So the GPX files has been removed since SOLIX units import GPX files.

SOLIX units can import the MATRIX/HT track file. The imported HT track will initially display correctly.
But the HT track will not display correct after the SOLIX is restarted.

There is a BassBoatCentral thread discussing this problem: http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=1083426

In a nutshell, it has been found SOLIX units scrub track-points when displaying tracks. This Display-Scrubbing code has a couple of serious bugs.

First:
The Display-Scrubbing code will remove Apex-Track points resulting in a cut-the-corner of a triangle effect. This can cause the track to be off-course by a few yards or many yards. Example(Purple HT path is correct, Gold path is Solix result of GPX or restart:

Second:
The Display-Scrubbing code will remove too many track-points causing straight-line tracks to disappear when you zoom-in.

The removed GPX file was 99% accurate on SOLIX units as a workaround was applied. But the workaround was like playing wack-a-mole, fix a section, break a section.
But until or if Humminbird comes up with a fix, SOLIX tracks just not supportable.

Great info - I guess I missed this disclaimer when I purchased, since I only have Solix units.... If there is no fix, then I wonder if the other guide lanes product would be a better option for Solix owners - since its just waypoints???

After reading this thread seems like the https://www.lakeforkguidelanes.com/about would be better option for Solix owners on Fork and could use Lance's Boatlanes for Rayburn and Toledo. Is this correct? I am switching to Hummingbird Solix from Lowrance.

PB Largemouth 8.56 Lake Fork
PB Largemouth 8.98 Sam Rayburn (Big Bass Splash)

Currently working on a SOLIX fix, but no for Fork, Rayburn or Toledo Bend.

I would recommend Helix instead of Solix. Or Solix for SI/DI and Lowrance for 2D/Navigation.

I have the same issue with my Helix Mega units, not sure how to eliminate lines that are not part of actual tracks. Any suggestions?

Will soon have Fork, LOP, Rayburn & Toledo Bend Boatlanes back available.

The previous Solix GPX file was OK, but pulled it until we could review it.
Also adding a couple of new trails, possibly the the new SRA Park Ramp path.

When do you think the Solix GPX file (Lake Fork) will be available? I purchased the maps a little over a week ago and only run Solix units.

Thanks!

Hate to hack an HB thread but can’t find an email address or phone number on their website to call Boatlanes at so I’ll throw this out here. Tried to import the Boatlanes maps (TB, Fork, & SR) but each time I hit yes to “Are you sure you want to import?” my unit (Lowrance HDS10 non) gets to 20% or so of the upload and then goes dark and restarts itself. Anyone else whose gotten them encounter this issue and if so how did you correct it? Thanks!
