Too bad he wasn’t able to get his bullet back from that old boy he shot in waco.

The parking lot where he shot that old boy was outside a dive bar off the feeder road on the north bound side of I-35 in Lorena.
This I know because I played that same dive bar shortly before the shooting.
Glad I wasn't there that day.

RIP BJS

saw him live, great entertainer.

I only agree with the first half. There's plenty of really good music out there right now. Just not on the radio.

you must not listen to the ranch

They're one of the very few radio stations that play good stuff. Those are few and far between.

Being present to watch billy joe finish that fight would’ve been awesome. Unless you were the guy who got shot in the face.

Crazy thing, that time shortly before the shooting there was also a fight that spilled over to the parking lot. No shooting that day. Got me thinking of all the places I've played where fights broke out. One of the best was at a bar in Waco close to the Ferrell Center. Two guys were going at it around a pool table, a real slug fest. A woman cracked a pool cue across one guys back just as the bartender told them she was calling the law. They stopped fighting and left. A few hours later all 3 of them returned together, laughing and enjoying the night like they had no memory of the fight a few hours before. Turned out, the woman was married to one guy and the other was her brother.

Try KHYI 95.3 FM in Dallas/Plano. Or on the web (like I'm doing as I type)

Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.
