I am thinking about heading out tomorrow somewhere in Central Texas. Looking at the weather, we had a big drop off in temps yesterday afternoon (temps have been in the 40s most of today), but the clouds are hanging around with temp steady (or warming), light rain and the pressure dropping until tomorrow afternoon (~3pm) when the clouds finally roll out and the temps head back to the upper 50s. I would not classify this as a bluebird type post-front condition, but seems to be a slow mover with extended cloud cover. My thought is that the extended cloud cover during the day will be good, the lake temps probably will not have dropped to drastically, and it may fish somewhat like a pre-front given the cloud cover and the decreasing pressure through tomorrow afternoon. I am not sure if I am crazy and/or just anxious to fish, and telling myself that fishing on a nasty day should be rewarded.
What do you think, GOOD or BAD day tomorrow?
Better to go Friday (which will likely be bluebird sky, with warmer air temps, but cooler water temps following several cool nights)?

Gonna suck tomorrow IMHO. That being said, in your lake the cold may be enough to get them moving toward the creeks.

I like those days when a front moves through and its still cloudy before the high pressure sets in. Caught probably 30 Sunday on a whopper plopper, spinnerbait and then squarebill. As the day progressed the fish went from surface to just under to 5 foot down. Very easy to pattern
I can backlash toilet paper.

Thanks! We took the plunge and went out. 7am 43 and rainy start, ~15mph winds most of the day, with the clouds breaking mid afternoon. We had a few here and there shallow, before the clouds broke; we seemed to hit a 1-2 hour feeding window offshore when the sun came out; and the fishing slowed late afternoon/evening as the bluebird conditions took hold. We were expecting a stronger shallow/early bite, but it evened out. Neither of us did well on glove selection and our hands are still cold today, lol. The day was solid overall, glad we went.
