Ennis?

Ennis is pretty much a big town now.
Once you have a SuperWalmart, you are city folk.

Looking a bit more rural the Ennis, but it has to be within a 20 mile radius of a SuperWalmart for fishing lures/supplies/etc.

San Ygnacio is just outside that radius, but the plus side is that itโ€™s just minutes from Falcon.

If I move there, Falcon will catch some good rain.
I make it rain wherever I go. I can go to Phoenix on any random weekend, and they will have their first good rain in months.

The high end vinyl plank is all the rage these days.

When our kids stop tearing stuff up, I'm putting old school, Texas post oak wood floors all over our downstairs. Love that classic look.

I have put down all of these. The best look is the glue down handscraped engineered hardwood with a satin finish. Distressed finish and/or grainy slightly knotty finish is also good for a longer lasting look as scratches and dents can be easily stained if needed. I would be cautious of it in bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms due to potential water damage.

when I redo my floors, I will opt for porcelain or ceramic that mimics hard wood. I hear to make sure it is color through the tile. That way if it chips or scratches it wont show.

MIL just put this stuff down. That grayish looks pretty good...depending on wall colors and furnishings. I like resurfaced barnwood !!

This is what we have throughout main living and both guest bedrooms. It has held up well with pets and grandkids. Like fishslime mentioned, all scratches or nicks are easily fixed with a colored marker. It's floated over a concrete slab.

We harvest and buy delivered logs from Arkla Tex. After milling into green lumber, trucked to Armstrong plant in Mizzou.

I prefer carpet upstairs. I have 4 kids and carpet reduces the noise downstairs. Otherwise I would go for Bamboo.

Hardwood by all means. I walked into a bar in Kansas City one time that had the original wood floors from like 100 yrs ago. But we have tile that looks like hardwood - I lost that battle with the wife. Having a pool was the big deciding factor for her.
