Monte at Fun N Sun told me they are sold before they get to the dealership many times. It's has a lot to do with the supply chain being shut down for 4 months earlier this year due to Corona-Geddon. Yamaha is still behind on producing motors. I am sure Merc is as well.

I think guys are buying these things just because they can! Price/reward certainly doesn’t factor into the decision. Lol.

I never understand these comments. I don't understand what buying new loaded boat has to do with how much you win in a tournament. The guys i know buy them because they want them. Some of them don't fish tournaments at all.

I have bought a bunch of boats from them. Never an issue. Just did it again a month ago.

What’s NOT to understand.? I said they have new, high end boats, because they want them and have the money. They don’t buy them because they are trying to win tourneys to pay for them. <<<that’s my point.

My fishing partner fishes from my old Skeeter 2-3 times a week in tourneys. He has a 2018 FX21 with about 60hrs on it. He bought it cause he wanted it. He doesn’t mind the $700 a month at all to have a really nice, shiny new boat.

Every one is different. I bought what I have with my fishing money. That’s as much as I’m willing to spend on a boat. I don’t care about shiny.

What blows my mind is, some people are financing some of these boats for 12-20 years. Which is THEIR business. On a sadder note I expect that sometime next year between June and Oct. there will probably be plenty of repo's available.

Don’t laugh. Dealers went from telling me they would not talk to me about trading on my 30 y/o Skeeter last fall to me trading it in for a good value and then they made back what they paid me for it. It was super clean but they got way over what I ever thought anyone would pay for it...... this was in June. All dealers I have visited recently have no new stock.....

I figure there was a lot of folks out there saving for a rig and the stimulus may have given them what they needed to put them over the top, Another thing I've noticed is if you have a little cash and you have a stimulus check and you buy a new Skeeter with the rebates they offer you can also use as down payment, it wouldn't be that hard to put together a deal. Granted you'd owe you soul when you did it.

You need to explain yourself because they have been around for many years and sell a ton of boats, so that tells me that a whole bunch of people are very happy with them.

I've never bought a new bass boat but 5 years ago I was looking and it seemed about 7% off MSRP was the best I could find. With the supply/demand issues these days I'd guess it's less now.
