Stark must be a plopper employee. I was thinking maybe it was Bernie, since he was nice enough to post the link. Lol

While everyone seems to be pointing a finger at everyone else, let's actually look at the facts.River2 Sea has never had an original product. All of their products are what are known as a private label bait (one designed by a manufacture and labeled with a distributor's logo). The Whopper Plopper is no exception. This is just one of the reasons River2Sea was unable to get a patent on the Whopper Plopper. The main reason is because a real inventor and innovator patented the design back in 1918. The patent has since expired allowing any company to roll out their own plopper style bait. https://www.bassmaster.com/bernie-schultz/first-plopperYou brought up a 2 year old thread. What kind of boredom were you in lol.

For those of you that didn't know, Ronnie Smith passed away a few days after his last post here. I have been fishing them for about a year now with mixed results. I've had two fish over nine lbs at Fork and had a good day with it at Twok a couple of weeks ago, nine fish one morning up to four lbs. The best retrieve I've found is a show steady retrieve like fishing a buzz bait. Your Whopper Plopper must be bigger and better than my Whopper Plopper. For those of you that didn't know Ronnie Smith "Gig Em Aggies" passed peacefully in a hospice a few days after making his last post.

Always enjoyed Ronnie's posts (Gig'em Aggies) little over a week ago I looked up his profile to see when his last post was and had a feeling something was not right. We messaged each another though pm quite a few times, gonna miss him.
RIP Ronnie wished we could have Fished together...

Paul Same here! We have the same model Skeeters, so we were always bouncing(no pun intended) ideas off each other via pm. I know sometimes folks come and go on forums. Sadly, I figured he just wasn’t fishing as much lately. Rest In Peace buddy.
