yes, so do catfish and perch. Nice to have food that can't swim away.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

"Several organisms, such as diving ducks, crayfish, eel, common carp, pumpkinseed, European roach, blue catfish, and freshwater drum, have been found to consume zebra mussels."

Catch and release. The dream - to catch one of every species of Freshwater fish in our great state! If only I can resist Carp...

They do as do other species as well. This balances them out over time.

fwiw... just pointing out Freshwater Drum imop is not only one of the most beautiful fish in our waters, but is also very good eating. Sure the bones can be intimidating, but some very nice flaky white meat is there for those willing to take their time and clean the fish.

They most certainly do. Bporte was loaded with zebra muscles and the freshwater drum got vey healthy . Water clarity improved measurably and the bait population nearly disappeared. They will hit a slab consistently and literally destroy the hooks. Ten lbers were not uncommon. Keith Bunch the go to guide on lake Borte showed us a 22 lb drum caught earlier this year.
