Was wondering, is there any chance he's beginning the dreaded RB decline prematurely? He's at his low YPC/YPC since coming into the league? Is that more line related? What is his deal? Discuss.

He greatly benefitted from an excellent O-Line early in his career. He has never had a good attitude or work ethic. Very physically talented, but not exceptional enough to shine without a good O-Line.
Another example of why successful teams are built around the O-Line and D-Line. If you play chess, the game is won by controlling the center of play/the front lines. Jimmy understood this and spent most of the H. Walker trade on both lines. That is how you build a sustainable winning team.
Jerry tends to ignore the lines and defense to overspend on RB, WR, LB, QB (the flashy positions that sell advertising and season tickets).

At least Zeke manned up and took full blame for the loss unlike most of the defense, all they did was start calling out the coaches.

Can you really say jerruh ignored the lines when the very O line that got zeke his contract was built by multiple first round picks year after year? And the cows off season signings were McCoy and Smith to shore up the d line? Not working out right now, but can’t say it’s been ignored

Made a generalization There have been exceptions (five/six years ago with two drafts in a row focusing on the line)

Belicek understands this as well - he does not pay big money for skill players, by and large. Jerry does the opposite, and gets the opposite results. In the last 25 years, the Cowboys have been to zero NFC championships, much less a super bowl. I think they've got 2 or 3 total playoff wins during that time? The lack of success is nearly unparalleled, and it is unprecedented in the history of the franchise.

For the record, I was nearly alone in my criticism of the stupid contract that Jerry signed him to a few years ago. Where are the guys saying that stuff now? He wasn't worth it then, isn't worth it now, and won't be worth it for the rest of the deal. Pollard is a fine RB considering the OL and defensive help you could buy with the money you saved.
