Agree with all the above I'd include Stephen Jones in there somewhere (the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree) and overpaying for overvalued skilled position players (all glitz and glamour with a priority on marketing/season ticket sales/revenue streams and a lack of focus on winning) Just an overall lack of leadership and team structure/regiment. Lack of coaching leadership and lack of leadership from the veterans (especially with Dak hurt, and Lee always hurt)

this he put a horrible team together the zeke deal buried them when your highest paid player fumbles away games he is another problem

There has been a lack of joy/enthusiasm/passion with the organization since Jimmy left (had it briefly again with Parcells).
Jerry is passionate about his ego, image, style, and revenue. He's not passionate about getting in the dirt, hard nosed, winning football (you have to give the coach ultimate responsibility to achieve the spirit of a solid, sustainable winning team.)

Don't think Stephen is the problem, he has help control Jerry. If Jerry kicked the bucket today and Stephen took over, probably the first thing he would do is promote McClay to GM.

As bad as I hate to say it you have to start at the top, Jerry and Stephen are the only constant. Sadly that will not change for a long time.
