I hate to even look. Last time I bought a vehicle was my brand new truck that I ordered from the factory at the end of 1999. Paid a whopping $17,500 for it.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

High quality shock absorbers Yep. Full set of 5100 for 400.00, installed by dealer for 85. Front shocks installed, all new ball joints, brake pads installed (i supplied carbon ceramic) out the door for less than 400.00. I am real glad i got the ford extended warranty. Extended warranties are must haves on Fords.

This is why I just refurbished my trk. Too old and to poor to have a new one ! Don't need/want one anyway. Refurbishing one will make you poor too. Ask me how I know. Nice truck Jman.

You want nuts. My old '13 F250 Platinum fully loaded stickered for $65k. A '20 Platinum simillary equipped is now $83k That's insane! I'm getting ready to get another truck next March. I honestly have no idea what i'm going to do. I'm kicking around the idea of 1/2 ton diesel but just don't know yet

Just bought a 2020 F150 a month or so ago, there's lots of wiggle room in making a deal. The 3/4 ton truck supply is short and they aren't making many deals.

I bought a 2017 gmc sierra in February, out of curiosity I checked the price on the exact truck and its 6k + more now. I only looked cause the dealership kept sending offers to buy it back and put me in a newer truck around the same price

I bought a brand new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 Quad cab Hemi with all the tow stuff in 2009. Lifetime power train warranty as long as I own it. Drove it off the lot for 24,000. Total. It’s got a whopping 75k miles on it now. I think I’ll drive it forever. Or till I die lol. Most of the time the boat is hooked up to it. I guess me having a company vehicle helps too. But seriously the new truck prices are crazy! My wife might need one more new one before it’s over but I think she’s wanting to get out of her Ram crew 4x4 into a SUV. Might save me a little. I hope! Lol

This is the added cost of cheap and easy money. When you can finance $40,000, the auto companies are going to want $40,000. When you can finance $70,000, they want it. Seriously, what would a bank said in 2010 and said you wanted $85,000 for a new pickup.
I also suspect there is some effect from manufacturing effecting supply. I don't know what its like in the city, but there are 3 dealers in small towns within 15 miles of me. They usually have lots packed full of new vehicles. I noticed the other day they were almost empty. where they might have 300-500, there might have been 50-75. Asked a guy and he said they just cant get them. GM seems worse on this than Ford.

Thanks - it's an 01 with tons of new parts and updated OEM Harley Davidson headlights and mirrors from a 2018, I think. Paint and body is being finished by Detroit Customs out your way in Sachse. Still only about half way done - there literally is no interior in it right now. I started this in February in my driveway stripping it and it will probably be done in time for Christmas.

Bilstein's on the rear of my wife's F150 was the first thing I did to it when we bought it.

I just traded in my 2018 Ram 1500 Lone Star 4x4 Hemi (engine was knocking bad and truck smelled like smoke from previous owner) and got $5k more than I paid in January. Bought a 2019 Silverado 2500 LT 4x4 Duramax with 37k miles for $42k. Didn't feel too bad about that. $14k OTD difference.
Used truck prices are nuts. New truck prices have been fairly stable for the last 4-5 years.
