Several of us head out next Sat to head to Branson for the Crappie Expo and $200k tourney! $80k first place prize is pretty awesome for crappie fishing! Exciting to see crappie fishing moving to the level of bass fishing. Looking forward to seeing everybody and seeing if we can improve on our top 10 finish from last year. Anybody else planning on going? Anywhere good to eat up there? Not old people Luby's type stuff either! I'm not that grey yet!!!  Slew

Grew up 45 mins from there. Table rock is a good lake but the bite can be hard to find day to day. As for dinning options - Branson is endless  . The usual suspects are good bets - Lambert’s for some throwers rolls and don’t sleep on the deep fried jowl!!! Getting basted has some burnt ends that rival kc’s. And mr gilberti’s Chicago pizza isn’t gino’s easy but pretty darn good Best of luck. 2 family members are headed over to compete but they have nothing on us Texas crappie fishermen;)

I like that Team Texas branding! I’ve tried very hard to promote sportsmanship and fall short sometimes. I wish we all believed in the idea of uplifting Texas businesses and anglers. I’ll start using #TeamTexas as a symbol that I’m proud to promote the philosophy the pies huge and the anglers are those that are important! 🎣🐟🇺🇸
