Fished it 2 weekends in a row. TERRIBLE. First weekend 2 guys, 6 hours fishing, 2 fish under 10 inches. Threw everything we could think of. Next weekend, 3 guys 5 hours no bites. It’s TOUGH right now.

Salvania is getting bad again but it’s more wind driven then anything. It’s been fishing pretty bad lately due to the hurricanes ripping a lot of grass up from the wind and waves

The wind blew it in so thick it was tough to get the boat out last weekend with the wind blowing right into the boathouse.

I was out there a month ago and fished from my kayak on Big Cypress Bayou and tore em with numbers of mostly dinks and nothing over 2.5 lb. Caught em almost exclusively on a 1/4 oz white spinner bait. One after the other.

Caught four last weekend, the wind would blow 15 mph then stop, then start up again. Found no pattern at all. Caught all 4 on different baits in different depths and places.

I would say cover a lot of water. Even when I do not catch anything that lake is stunningly beautiful. Pic was taken off my pals boat house and dock.

Fished a couple weekends ago. One practice day and one THBSA tournament. Practice day we caught 6 fish and missed 3 more. Only one over, one under, 4 slot. Tournament day the wind shifted and pushed salvania in our 1st spot, end up going to our 2nd spot and staying all day. Boys caught 9 unders plus 4 slot fish. I caught an 18.5” fish and two slot fish. It was a solid day.
