I don’t miss the salesman asking me repeatedly, “What kind of payment do you want.”

The last two cars I purchased...I told the salesman to repeat after me,”What kind of payment do you want?” After they repeated it, I told the salesman that if I heard the word payment again...I was outta there.

I actually do. I like replacing factory [censored] with what I want.

this thread just keeps on giving. So you actually thought a bunch of guys would agree to go back to archaic days of much less safer cars? …. WOW ….. yes, accidents happen. Facts are cars are much faster now and much more poorly built so airbags are necessity. and, cars last MCUH longer now. Wait, pretty much EVERYTHING is better with cars these days.... wow

I'll detract and say I LIKE the way things can be today. I have to purchase a new company vehicle every two years. I lost my buddy at Johnson Sewell in Marble Falls, here's what my budget is, get me the most for that budget, walk in and ten minutes later out the door I went.

Now, the last truck was bought through car gurus. No BS, here's the trade, there's the price, you want it, make it work or it's down the road. It was pretty dang easy, drove to Sealy, picked it up and gone I was. TEN grand less for the same truck the couple of times I wasted at a dealership. Never again. Hope the dealers get their clue ticket punched, it's a new day with new rules.

Yes, should've expected that here. You're right.

Bought a new Hyundai Sonata a month ago...I knew the horsepower from just googling 2020 Hyundai Sonata. I like the leather seats, the driver's suite of technology that helps me to be safe (blind spot detection, front camera for when I'm parking in the garage and pulling out of parking spots, backup camera, lane keeping assist, etc), navigation, SiriusXM, and heated and ventilated seats...My butt will never be too hot or too cold again. Plus, I could be in South Carolina and my car in Texas and I could allow someone to drive it using their cellphone. That's pretty freaking cool.

I want my passengers to die or get maimed. At least I'm cool.

I never worry about my own situational awareness....it's the other idiots looking at their cell phone at 90 mph that concern me. I can control what I do, but not what they do....
