Any good creeks to fish in on Lake Lewisville? Any other good areas for this time if the year. Going there this weekend.

But there's only one way in and most folks don't know about the small opening. You're one of the lucky ones, Jason.....

If you have a Kayak, you can park on side of the road, just west of Paloma Creek off 380. Walk down to the side of the bridge and put in there.

I'm sensing sarcasm here?? I fished Pecan couple days ago and was really slow. I'm thinking we need some cooler temps

Fish the dam
Shad patterns

Lots of nice bass.

And its lake dallas!

The old timers called it garza or garza little elm
Kids of the 70's called it lake dallas
Now some ridiculous name

Lake Dallas is the old lake prior to the new dam and big lake. It is not really the same think to call Lewisville Lake....Lake Dallas

I like all the creeks that feed in from the east or little elm side of “lake Dallas” part of the lake

No it was Garza or Garza little elm when the built the big existing dam they called it lake Dallas
The old dam is still there but opened up in the middle

Great largemouth lake now but in the 70’s we catch sand bass that’s white bass for you bumkins over a half acre of them surfacing chasing shad using a clear hell raiser we would catch two at a time one day we fillet over 150 don’t know if there were limits in those days

The W.E. Callahan Construction Company completed the Garza Dam in 1927 at a cost of $5 million, which created Lake Dallas.
The United States Army Corps of Engineers built the Garza-Little Elm Dam between 1948 and 1954 at cost of $23.4 million. The structure combined Lake Dallas, Hickory Creek, and Little Elm Creek. The 32,888-foot (10,024 m) long Lewisville Dam was completed in 1955, and the Garza Dam was breached in 1957 to create the new lake, known then as Garza-Little Elm Reservoir and renamed Lewisville Lake.

No need to apologize, I typed that from memory. I have memorized the internet. I read forums now for new content.
