Solicitation of your personal opinions.
What is the best multi-blade pocket knife - brand, model, etc?
Looking to replace much used, loved and now lost Swedish pocket knife my grandfather gave me +60 years ago. Spent half this long weekend in internet searching and couldn't find anything really close to what I lost.
Entirely separate question with nothing to do with my 1st question. What is the "most useful" Swiss Army Knife?
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

I have a pretty decent knife collection many types and sizes. All I carry is a $20 Victorinox Swiss Army Officer knife.

I have had an old leatherman for at least 25 plus years, it's the original, can't tell you how many times it's gotten me out of a bind. Lost it one time for a few years, then found it when I was cleaning under the truck seat.

I learned a long time ago. Don't get to attached to a pocket knife. If I haven't lost it, it ended up the trash can at the airport!!
Thanks, Billy

You asked for opinions. I own both but I never understood the point of having multiple blades and the Swiss Army knife designs are WAY outdated imo. There are better options.

I'm a big Swiss fan. I've carried one daily for over 40 years. I've had a few but the one I have had the longest is the Ranger (I think). It has the two blades, nail file, saw, scissors, phillips screwdriver/can opener, flat screwdriver/bottle opener, corkscrew (with the micro screwdriver that screws into it), awl, chisel, funky hook looking thing, toothpick and tweezers. I use it for lots of stuff.
A few years ago I finally dropped it one too many times and one of the plastic sides broke off and I couldn't super glue it back on. I called their US office and they said mail it back to them. It took 3 or 4 weeks but they fixed it, cleaned it up and sharpened the blades free of charge.

As I walk up to the check in counter I take out my Swiss and my Zippo and put them in the bag. As soon as I get my bag back at pick up I get my Swiss and Zippo and put them back in my pocket.

I've carried a pocket knife for many years, mostly three blade types. My current one, cause I've lost a few, is a Schrade Uncle Henry.

I need to buy a pocket knife. Wife keeps getting mad finding her kitchen knifes in the garage next to the empty bags of fertilizer.

Its hard to clean your nails with a kitchen knife.
