I need honest feedback for the most sensitive with backbone. Don't want biased opinions for being on Pro staff, club discount, etc. Thx

ACC

I can feel a Crappie breathe on my jig.

I donโ€™t work for ACC.

Iโ€™m a satisfied customer and a fan of their rods.

I own every single length they have all mid seat rods.

My first trip with one of their rods was October 19, 2016.

Landed a 35 pound yellow cat caught on a Crappie jig on Lake Fork. Was an 8โ€™ Rod with 20 pound power pro super slick braid and a 8 pound Berkeley Vanish Gold Flourocarbon leader.

That trip and catching that catfish sold me on their rods.

Been using them ever since and have never looked back.

Here is a Picture of the catfish caught using my first ACC rod

Just my humble opinion.

I took pictures and released the catfish.

Here is a link to an article they just put out about why they started and where they are going.

I fish 12โ€™. I think the request for those affiliated with rod companies to refrain may have minimized responses. See what I sling on deck in videos. I let the videos speak for the rods. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I fish an 11' ACC out of a Kayak, I prefer the 7'6" or 8'. But when I hit the open water brush piles I'll load up the 11'

Man I really want that 12' Crossover just too add too my collection of ACC Crappie Stix's !

I have caught Catfish at weights that Crappie will never reach, Bank Flipping a 5+ pound Black Bass with the 10' ACC Sold Me on Them. Was pure Adrenaline, but no Knots failed or line broke, or any kind of rod damage.I even ran under a bridge and folded that ACC almost 75ยฐ ( Had a Brain Fart) Not as pretty, but just as solid as the day I pulled it out of the tube!

I'd Tack That!!

That ACC Crossover looks like a nice rod. I've always used cork, but like the sound of the Super grip. Anybody used it yet? Thx

I have 2 pro angler 12 foot, they are solid. Plenty of backbone. I mostly use 8 ft, the 12s take some getting used to.

I am trying to figure out how being on a prostaff leads you to having a biased opinion. I can't speak for everyone else but I truly love my Bonestix Crappie Rod. Getting free stuff is not enough for me to use products I do not like or break on a daily basis.

Huckabee and then bonehead. You are not getting more backbone than a huckabee.

I've got 2 - 10' Bonehead rods and 4 of their 12' rods. I like them well enough but they're medium heavy power rods and if you're too heavy handed when you set the hook, you'll rip the hooks right out of the crappie's mouth, or come so close to it that you'll lose them at the boat. A few days ago, I received 2 - 12' Pro Angler 1202 rods and although I haven't fished them yet, I can already tell I'm going to like them better than the Bonehead rods. They're sensitive enough for what you pay for them and they'll have less of a tendency to rip hooks out. The 1202 is Pro Angler's "medium light" rod meant for Crappie and the 1201 is their "heavy duty" rod recommended for trolling and fish heavier than Crappie. I've got a slew of medium light rods in the 7'-7.5' lengths and this 1202 is closer to being a medium power than a medium light, imo. I'm looking forward to fishing with it.

Disclaimer: I'm on Pro Angler Pro Staff: didn't ask to be on the Pro Staff for free stuff; Pro Angler doesn't give ANY free stuff. I asked to join because this was the first crappie rod I used with backbone, sensitivity and light weight.

There are a number of good rods out there now, G-Rods, Todd Huckabee, Bonehead, Bonestix, ACC, Kevin Rogers from Jenko to name a few. Don't think G-Rods has a 12 fter. All have good backbone. Something else you might want to consider is weight of the rod vs backbone and price. Not all blank materials are the same. Look at the weight of a ProAngler 12' vs the others. If you hold one for 4-5 hours, the weight makes a difference.

I fish a Bonehead 10' and an ACC 12'. Love them both. I have lost several large fish trying to get the net out to net fish as I fish mostly alone. As a result, i just boat flip most everything. Only exceptions this year have been been a 10# drum and a 11# flathead. Have confidence in both rods on crappie up to over 2# for boat flipping. Now if I could find some 2.5# - 3# to test them on, I would be glad to give you feedback on how those Handel as well.
