I really thought he would do better than he has, I would guess he will get one more year to prove himself.

Don't know. I do know that it is very frustrating to be a UT fan. All these highly rated players that continually make stupid low football IQ mistakes. If they could cut the stupid mistakes in half, they would be in the top 5.

Example - time running out and trailing TCU by 4. 1st and goal at the 1. 4 chances to score and the running back reaches out with the ball to score only to have it punched out. NEVER reach out unless it's 4th down. In addition - they needed to run some time off, so why the urgency to score on 1st down?? Wanting to pad his stats?

Intercepting the ball downfield on defense when it's 4th down??

Strutting like a peacock when they make a hard tackle after a 15 yard gain.

Allowing additional yardage due to not wrapping up - thinking that their hard hit will get it done like it did in high school.

I would love to see the coaches start pulling players out after they make stupid mistakes. Doesn't need to be but a few plays, but a couple minutes of an earful from their position coach and the embarrassment of being pulled might finally get them to listen.

I think he will get another year, Horns always think they are gonna attract a big time coach and settle for a group of 5 up and comer. Not sure Urban wants back in but he would be the top choice.

The problem isn’t the coach, it’s institutional, just like the Cowboys.

Urban Meyer is not coming back to coach at UT. What does he have to gain, money, something to prove? His wife will not him get back into coaching since she actually gets to be around him now and they are worried about his health due to stress.

I think he gets another year just because of the no spring and summer workouts. If they had those then he would be gone this year. What coaches are out there that want to deal with the UT regents and booster backstabbing and all of the Longhorn network obligations? UT should remember that Herman the hottest thing on the market when they hired him. Say what you want about his QB selections but Ellinger is in the Top 5 for most QB records at UT - passing yards, touchdowns, total offense, etc and his numbers are not inflated from having excellent receivers during his time. UT's problems are greater than just the head coach, they started during the later years of Mack Brown's tenure and continue until now. There are too many people with money involved in that athletic program and all of them think they are right and there money means their opinion matters.

Since this year is so screwed with covid it would be the perfect time for the coaches to take the asylum back from the players. Sit the entitled babies until they wake up. This applies to all the college programs. I know its all about winning, but they aren't doing that now.

3 coaches and you have the same exact results. When do you stop blaming the coaching? I really don't know why any legitimate coach would want to come to UT. It seems like a hell hole now. Too many moving parts that are hard to control. Mack handled it the best. In hindsight.....well you know
