Thumpers and live shad are continuing to produce! Take good care of your bait and the bites will come. Ernesto caught a limit of Striper, 11 catfish and this nice over...

Awesome except for the whopper plopped loss! Looks like the birds are back in force and will find the schools! Ernesto had a big one break his line Monday as well! With all the bait out there, should be some fat line breaking and maybe even lake record breaking fish!

Tyler was thumping them up today. He said you could catch them until your arm fell off. Kyle had a nice cooler full as well this morning! Check out the latest video from last weekend! https://youtu.be/dXMEhTNlE94

Got a nice report from Jake today, looks like Striper are responding well to the thumper!

This weekend was awesome! I fished with a buddy boat Saturday... birds were working from Mack Creek across to Wachita and just outside of Lakeside. My fishing buddy wanted to catch shad and try out his thumper. We caught bait and headed out to the main lake just outside of lakeside. Only marked a few fish but turned in the thumper to see what would happen. The fish came in a few at a time and we usually caught 1 out of every school that passed through. We ended up with 10 box and 2 overs before we ran out of small shad. Alex caught 7 and lost a big fish when it ran into the trolling motor. We saw guide boats coming back super early so I am sure there was action under the birds. Ed trolled that afternoon and caught 28 but he cheats and catches them 3-5 at a time on the A rig! Josh (Southern Wind) crushed them as usual and has his limits pretty early...

After Kyle and his buddies did do well on swimbaits, Several of us fished yesterday. I tried artificials and A rigs under the birds, then thumped with shad along the edges. Fish keyed in on the smaller shad which are harder to catch than the 5-6â variety. We caught about a dozen altogether with most being on the shad and one over on the A Rig. I had a YouTube subscriber buddy boat with me. They tied off behind me and caught a few fish as well including a first Striper for this young man! Tyler did well using the Hellpet (crank bait/ spoon)combination. Tyler trolls until he gets bit by the right size fish, then he slabs that active school. He showed George that technique and George caught a nice box full as well... Ernesto caught a nice box of fish thumping with shad. Ed caught 18 on A rigs along the edges including a nice triple hook up and a 6lb over. Yesterday was an awesome day to fish and it seemed like every technique was effective!

The wind was rough this weekend so I waited until this afternoon to go fishing. Left Highport about 3 and ran into birds by the island. Picked up 6 box on A rigs and Hellpets using a #12 Tony Acetta. First time afternoon fishing and first time just trolling but didnât have much time to fish and didnât want to chase bait. Was fun trip!
